Thursdays in the Park
Thursday, June 5, 12, 19, 26

Time: 6:00 PM
Start Location: Left side of Parkview Drive

Distance: 10 - ?? miles
Terrain: Flat to gently rolling

Directions: Enter the Park off Lafayette Blvd. and travel 2.5 miles to the stop sign at Landsdowne Rd. Turn RIGHT and then another immediate right onto Parkview Drive. Park along the left side of the road as far off the road as possible in consideration of the residents that live in that sub-division.

Start Location: Bethlehem Baptist Church

Distance: 17, 31, 35, 40 miles
Terrain: Rolling

Directions: Take Rt.1 south to 608 ( Massaponnax Church Rd.) and turn left at the light. The church is 0.5 miles on the right.

Jim Good plans to ride this route every Saturday morning. He invites anyone who wishes to ride with him. He will bring cue sheets with him to the ride. BUT this will be a leaderless ride, he will not take on the responsibility of a club ride leader.

White Oak Week Night
June 3, 17 (Tuesday)

Time: 5:30 PM
Start Location: Ferry Farm Elementary School Ferry Farm Elementary School

Distance: 13, 23 miles
Terrain: Flat to gently rolling

Directions: From Fredericksburg go East across Chatham Bridge (Rt 3-East) about 1.4 miles. Turn left on Rt 606 (Ferry Road) at stop light in front of 7-11 & McDonalds. Go 0.8 miles on Ferry Road. Turn right on Pendleton Road. The school is on the left. Meet in parking lot near ball fields.



Jackson Shrine Week Night
June 10, 24 (Tuesday)

Start Location: Food Lion Parking Lot on Rt 2 across from 608

Distance: 15, 21 miles
Terrain: Rolling

Directions: Rt 2 South 5 miles from Fredericksburg to the Food Lion Parking Lot on the left.



Remington Ride
Sunday, June 1

Start Location: M M Pierce Elementary School

Distance: 27, 44 and 50 miles
Terrain: gently rolling more or less

Directions: From Falmouth Bridge (Rt. 1) take Rt.17 North from for approx 26 miles, turn left on Rt 28 (Catlett Rd). 2.4 miles then turn left on James Madison Hwy/US-15 S/US-29 S. 0.3 miles then turn left on US-15 BR/US-29 BR/James Madison St. Go 1.4 miles then turn right into school parking lot.

Description:These will be familiar roads for those who have ridden the Cannonball Century 100 mile route but with much of it in reverse, may not seem familiar at all. This is a nice rural route. Leaving Remigton we travel through Bealton, Midland, Casanova, Calverton, Bristersburg and Elk Run but don't blink you'll miss them.

King George Explorer

Directions: From Fredericksburg take Rt. 3 East approximately 18 miles to King George. Turn right on Rt 678 St. Anthony's Road to King George Admin building on right.



Warrenton Ride

Distance: 24, 36, 54 miles
Terrain: Hilly

Directions: From Falmouth Bridge (Rt. 1) take Rt. 17 North 28.7 miles then merge right onto Rt 26/17. In 4.7 miles turn left onto Rt 17/29 BUS for 2.6 miles. Left at Frost Ave/US-211 for short distance then right onto Rappahannock St for short distance then left onto Waterloo Rd. School is 0.3 miles.



Harwill Outing
Sunday, June 29

Start Location: 215 Harwill Drive, Stafford

Distance:15, 30, 50 miles
Terrain: Flat to Rolling

Directions: From the intersection of Route 1 and 17: Take Rt. 17 North 5.8 miles. Turn right on Poplar Road (VA-616) and go 7.3 miles. (Start looking for a white fence on the right at about 7 miles.) Turn right on Harwill Drive at the white fence. Follow Harwill Drive through Harwill Acres for 0.8 miles. Look for a black mailbox. Park in the cul-de-sac or pull into the driveway. There are several places to park to the left and right of the driveway near the house.

Our home is located a few hundred feet from the Cannonball Century route, so the roads will be familiar if you have done this ride in the past. If you attended the FCC Holiday Party in January, you know where we are located. Bring your bathing suit and plan to stay after the ride to cool off in the pool and have some lunch…we have several floats that may help you relax after the ride. If you cannot ride, please join us in the early afternoon for the festivities.
