This month's century follows a spectacular route that will take you through a stunning section of the Blue Ridge with challenging climbs and thrilling descents. Taking Skyline drive through the Shenandoah national park to Front Royal, we will head Southwest through Fort Valley to the penultimate climb over Massanutten on the way to Luray. Tipping over the final climb begins a 7 mile descent to the finish. Rest stops will be convenience stores along the route, so plan to purchase fluids and nutrition along the way.

Shenandoah National Park has an entrance fee. Day passes can be purchased for $10. Additionally, up to four riders can enter on an annual pass. Annual Passes cost $40

An alternate century is being offered the same day with a ride start at the YMCA – See the other calendar entry.

About the Century Streak Series:

Come join us in starting a streak of riding a century each month for the entire year! How long can you keep your streak alive? Each month during 2016, we will coordinate a century ride to help streaks to continue or begin. Some months, they will be originate from the Spotsylvania YMCA. Other months, they will originate from other locations. Weren't able to complete a century last month? Not a problem – start your streak at any time! Didn't get a chance to do this month's century with the club? Ride a century on your own or with a friend! Please drop Mike Schumm a note that includes the date of the ride along with a short description if you rode your century for the month at a different time.
