Thursdays in the Park
Thursday, August 7, 14, 21, 28

Time: 6:00 PM
Start Location: Left side of Parkview Drive

Distance: 10 - ?? miles
Terrain: Flat to gently rolling

Directions: Enter the Park off Lafayette Blvd. and travel 2.5 miles to the stop sign at Landsdowne Rd. Turn RIGHT and then another immediate right onto Parkview Drive. Park along the left side of the road as far off the road as possible in consideration of the residents that live in that sub-division.

Start Location: Bethlehem Baptist Church

Distance: 17, 31, 35, 40 miles
Terrain: Rolling

Directions: Take Rt.1 south to 608 ( Massaponnax Church Rd.) and turn left at the light. The church is 0.5 miles on the right.

Jim Good plans to ride this route every Saturday morning. He invites anyone who wishes to ride with him. He will bring cue sheets with him to the ride. BUT this will be a leaderless ride, he will not take on the responsibility of a club ride leader.

White Oak Week Night
August 5, 19 (Tuesday)

Time: 6:00 PM
Start Location: Ferry Farm Elementary School Ferry Farm Elementary School

Distance: 13, 23 miles
Terrain: Flat to gently rolling

Directions: From Fredericksburg go East across Chatham Bridge (Rt 3-East) about 1.4 miles. Turn left on Rt 606 (Ferry Road) at stop light in front of 7-11 & McDonalds. Go 0.8 miles on Ferry Road. Turn right on Pendleton Road. The school is on the left. Meet in parking lot near ball fields.



Jackson Shrine Week Night
August 12, 26 (Tuesday)

Start Location: Food Lion Parking Lot on Rt 2 across from 608

Distance: 15, 21 miles
Terrain: Rolling

Directions: Rt 2 South 5 miles from Fredericksburg to the Food Lion Parking Lot on the left.



King George Explorer

Directions: From Fredericksburg take Rt. 3 East approximately 18 miles to King George. Turn right on Rt 678 St. Anthony's Road to King George Admin building on right.



Pope’s Creek Ride

Time: 9:00 AM Start Location: Billy's Crab House, Pope’s Creek, Maryland

Distance: 18, 29, 34, 47 miles
Terrain: Mostly flat to rolling

Description: From Chatham Bridge take Rt 3 East approximately 15 miles to a left on Rt 206 Dahlgren Rd. Go approx 9.5 miles to a left turn on Rt. 301. Continue on Rt. 301 approx 3.5 miles to the bridge. Cross the bridge and from Maryland side of bridge travel past flashing light at Md Route 257 (no left turn) and go 2 miles to left on Edge Hill Rd. Travel 1 mile to a right on Pope’s Creek Road. Another 2 miles to Billy’s Crab House. Parking lot is on the right. There is a toll on the return trip at the bridge.

Bob's Balloon Ride

Start Location: Fauquier Feed Supply (Grainery parking lot)

Distance: 16, 31, 38 mil
Terrain: Rolling

Directions: Take Rt. 17 for about 18 miles west of I-95. Turn right onto "Ritchy Road" (route 644). Park behind the granary so that we don't block the car wash.

Join Bob as he leads a ride around the Bealeton area as hopefully balloons take off from the "Flying Circus" for their annual festival. The ride is fairly flat with a few hills. Bring plenty of water since the store at our one rest stop has closed. You might want to bring your "A" game because if you lag behind, you will be spending the whole ride listening to Bob's war stories about his ballooning days.

Directions: From I-95 Exit 130B: Proceed approximately 14 miles west on Rt 3 to Rt 20. Turn left on Rt 20 and go approximately 13 miles to Rt 522. Turn left on Rt 522 and go just over one tenth mile. Unionville Elementary School will be on the left .

There will be a pool party at the Blackmoor house (directions) after the ride, so bring a towel, swimwear and possibly some food to share!
