The Belle Isle/Northern Neck Ride
If you have ever wanted to try an overnight ride but didn't want to travel far for it nor spend an entire week riding, this ride is for you! The FCC with the company of Bruce White and his Boy Scouts will tour the "Land Between the Rivers" and spend a night at beautiful Belle Isle State Park.
The route is slightly to moderately rolling and will take us approximately 85 miles along the Rappahannock river. This is a fully supported ride that costs $75 a head. This will be a ride you will remember for some time!
The scouts will load up all our gear, tents, bags, chairs, etc. New to camping? The scouts can provide several members with tent and gear. The scouts will provide SAG support along the route and Bruce has offered to get his tandem out and provide support for the slower riders. If you know you can make it but not sure you can keep up, you won't have to; come on!
Once we get to Belle Isle State Park the scouts and their team will have our gear on the ground and already preparing supper. The next day they will provide breakfast and encouragement as we get started on our return.
When we get back to the YMCA on Sunday our gear will be waiting for us. From start to finish this is going to be one fantastic time! Space is limited so I encourage you to sign up as soon as possible.
