Downtown Fredericksburg to Belle Plains

Ride Description:  Join us as we celebrate the reopening of the Chatham Bridge with a ride from downtown Fredericksburg to Belle Plains in lower Stafford County.  The buzzword for this ride is VARIETY, as we cycle through downtown streets and then cross the new bridge to George Washington's boyhood home of Ferry Farm.  From there, we will ride through the safe, quiet neighborhoods of Ferry Farm, Argyle Heights, and Briarwood Estates on our way to the beautiful countryside known as Belle Plains.  The proposed route is 40 miles but we can easily shorten it to accommodate rider interest.  Riders are invited to have lunch or a drink afterwards. 

Start time and Place:  9:30am, Old Mill Park, 2201 Caroline St, Fredericksburg, VA 

Please note:  Riders must be comfortable riding in slow moving (25mph) traffic in downtown Fredericksburg.  We will be obeying all stop signs and stoplights and using hand signals.  It will be good practice!
