Hopewell Church Ride
Location: 12018 Guinea Dr, Woodford, VA 22580
Come out and ride with us from Hopewell Methodist Church in Woodford, Va. Located just over the Spotsylvania County line, Hopewell allows us to branch out in multiple directions on safe country roads. Slower groups generally go about 30-36 miles at a 14-15mph pace, while faster riders travel at least 40 miles at a 16-18 mph pace. There are a few steep hills, but most of the roads are moderately rolling.
No Drop Option: The No Drop ride is an excellent way to introduce new cyclists to the joys of road cycling or allow experienced riders a casual ride with friends. The ride can be as slow or as fast as you are comfortable pedaling. Need to walk up a hill? No problem. Need to stop and catch your breath? No problem. Forget thinking “I’m too slow for a bike club”. The No Drop ride will ensure that all riders remain together and support each other. Many of our riders started out in the No Drop group and have moved on to longer and faster distances. While the No Drop option is not normally available during the winter riding season, contact the scheduled Ride Leader if you are interested in a No Drop ride.
