Montross Ride
Location: Court Square, Montross, VA.
We will depart from the heart of Montross at Court Square on Kings Hwy, just to the left of Angelo’s Pizza Restaurant. There is plenty of parking and public restrooms. Ride Leader Mike has two routes; a 48 mile or 64 mile route.
Both routes stay together until just after mile marker 40 and both pass through historic Kinsale, a neighborhood on the Potomac River as well as four different wineries. The Metric goes on to cross Route 3 at mile 42.5 and on to Naylors Beach on the Potomac. There is only one opportunity for refills and restrooms at mile 32. There is also a public restroom at the start. At the end of the ride, I usually hit The Art of Coffee for lunch.
