Downtown RAMBLE

Ride Description:  As of Thursday night, this ride is still on!

Join us this Friday for a relaxed ride through the downtown area and then across the Chatham bridge into Pratt and  Brooke Parks and Clearview Heights.  This is a brand new route that will cover much of downtown.  The elevation is only 746 feet, our flattest route yet, making it perfect for the bound-to-be summer heat.

Please note:  Riding downtown can be lots of fun.  The speed limit is only 25mph, and cars are used to cyclists.  Nevertheless, each cyclist must judge for him or herself whether he/she feels comfortable riding in this or any kind of traffic.

Start location: Old Mill Park, 2201 Caroline St, Fredericksburg, VA 

Start time:  9:00am

Parking:  Park in the much larger parking lot in the back near the bathrooms.

Group pace:  C pace or about 12-14mph.  This is a no-drop ride, but please be sure you are able to complete a 22-mile ride in the summer heat.
