Description: Join us for our third quarterly general membership meeting of the calendar year at Park Lane Tavern in the back of the Spotsylvania Mall. We will meet in the back of the restaurant and cover club business first. Please stay afterwards and have dinner with the group.
We have another Bylaws Amendment Proposal to vote on. It is an easy one but it requires an explanation. In 2019, then President Dave Burkett and his Executive Board created a new club Award known as the Founder's Award. This Award comes with a Lifetime Club Membership. That seemed innocuous at the time, that is until it was pointed out that Section 3.04 of the Bylaws defines the various membership types but did not have a mention for Lifetime. There are at least a handful of members who have received this award and we need to identify this new member type along with the other types in this portion of the Bylaws.
Below is the proposed amendment. WE NEED YOUR VOTE! Bylaws require five percent or more of the member base vote. Voting will be conducted in person at this meeting. If you are not able to attend this meeting please consider voting by proxy. Any proxy vote must be in writing or digital format (IE email), it must identify the voting member, and can be delivered any time before vote but should be delivered at least three days prior to vote if delivering it in person. You may get it to any of the Executive Board Members including, Scott Kruger, Kelly Rapkins, Mo Rea or myself.
