July 4th Ride with RABA

Description: The Richmond Area Bicycle Association (RABA) has invited our club to join them for their 4th of July Ride in Orange County with a BYO picnic afterwards at Barboursville Vineyards. They did this ride last year for the first time, and it was immensely popular. This is not surprising because the routes overlap with our very own, beautiful, popular Apples and Peaches Ride.

The ride will start at 8:30am and will have three distances: 42, 49 miles, and 66 miles. Check below to see if we have found a pace leader for your preferred distance, or better yet, volunteer to lead a distance at your desired pace. Be sure to download the routes on your phone or bike computer or print the cue sheet.

Please REGISTER at the link provided so that I can track interest.

Picnic:  All our invited to a  picnic afterwards at Barboursville Winery at 17655 Winery Rd, Barboursville, VA.  This is one of the most highly rated wineries in the state of Virginia and is about 10 minutes away from the ride start. The picnic area is on the RIGHT when you enter the property. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.  Bring your own lawn chair. You can buy food at the Food Lion in Gordonsville next to the ride start or at the BBQ Exchange at 102 Martinsburg Avenue, Gordonsville, VA. The BBQ Exchange will be open on July 4th but you may want to order in advance.

Start time: 8:30am

Start location: Family Dollar parking lot, 408 W. Gordon Ave, Gordonsville, VA
