Location: Court Square, Montross, VA.
Start time: 8:00am
Description: We will depart from the heart of Montross at Court Square on Kings Hwy, just to the left of Angelo’s Pizza Restaurant. There is plenty of parking and public restrooms. We will be riding the metric century (route below).
The route passes through Kinsale, an historic neighborhood on the Potomac River, as well as by four different wineries. We will stop for a convenience store and restroom break at the 32.5-mile mark. We will cross Route 3 at mile 42.5 and ride on to Naylors Beach on the Potomac. At the end of the ride, the group usually hits The Art of Coffee for lunch.
Please note: It will be warm on Friday. Please bring plenty of fluids.
Pace: Mike will let the group dictate the pace. He estimates about 17mph.
