RIDE TO ASHLAND and PATRICK HENRY'S HOME
Description: Join us for a rare club ride from Caroline County to Ashland, VA. We will start at the County Line Baptist Church near the Caroline County Supermarket. From there we will head south to downtown Ashland where you will see gorgeous old homes, a quaint Main Street peppered with coffee shops, and train tracks that run through the center of it all. We will stop at a coffee shop before heading back. Patrick Henry's home of Scotchtown is on the return trip.

Start Location: County Line Baptist Church, 3461 Ladysmith Rd, Chilesburg, VA
Start time: 9:30am
Parking: Park near the front corner close to the intersection of Ladysmith and County Line.
Pace and Distance: Minimum pace 15mph. The distance roundtrip is 52 miles.

Note: There is one potentially dangerous hill 17 miles into the ride on Blunt's Bridge Rd called "the Big Sister" by RABA. YOU MUST APPROACH THAT HILL WITH EXTREME CAUTION. The rest stops and the Big Sister are noted on the downloaded route.
