Skyline Drive Ride

If you want practice climbing, join us for a beautiful day of out-and-back climbing and descents on Skyline Drive.
Since everybody climbs at different speeds, the plan is to regroup at each summit to make sure we have everyone before continuing. Although the linked route is for 102 miles, the ride leader intends to do a total of 62 miles and turn around at the Mary's Rock Trailhead.
We'll meet at the Dickey Ridge Trailhead and roll at 8 am.
There will be opportunities for water refills and a stop at the Elkwallow Wayside along the route, but otherwise plan your nutrition and electrolytes with a challenging ride in mind.
Because Skyline Drive is in Shenandoah National Park, there is a $15 entrance fee for individuals cycling in who do not have a National Park pass. The ride leader has one pass that will cover the entrance fee for three additional people. If you also have a current pass please bring it and let the ride leader know ahead of time.
