Skyline Fall Colors Ride - Sperryville Loop

Fall colors in the higher elevations tend to peak earlier.  So lets go for a ride to check em out.  You can either join us at 7:45 a.m. at the BJs parking lot in front of the automotive center to carpool or meet us at the parking lot of the Schoolhouse Antiques Stores (12018 Lee Hwy Sperryville, VA 22740) for 9:00 a.m. departure.

     This is a 62 mile loop with about 5,500 feet of climbing.  There will be long climbs, thrilling descents and panoramic vistas as we climb from Sperryville seven miles and 1600' to Skyline Drive, and then 2700 feet up to hogback mountain.  We'll traverse to Front Royal and then loop back through Little Washington to Sperryville.  This ride has a fair amount of climbing, but we out to enjoy the views on one of the most beautiful rides in Virginia, so time won't be a big factor.  Counting driving to and from the start, it will take about 8 ¹/₂ hours from when we leave Fredericksburg till when we return (~4:30 p.m.). Contact Stan for questions and to let us know you are coming and where you want to meet.
